Victoria Place Management
Meet Peter Jovanovich
Peter Jovanovich is a long-time resident of Hamilton (since 1987) and has been in the hospitality (restaurant/
bar/hotel) business for more than 35 years.
In 2002, Peter and long-time partner Sharon became permanent summer residents at Brant Conservation Park.
Through the years, Peter has seen an incredible transformation of downtown Brantford with new construction and development. He saw a real need for student accommodation due to the emergence of Wilfrid Laurier University and other campuses in downtown Brantford.
Peter assumed ownership of 29 Victoria Street in 2009. He saw the great potential of this historical building to be a comfortable place for students to live and study and gave the gorgeous 2 1/2 storey building the name "Victoria Place Student Residence."
Victoria Place Student Residence, which was built in 1892, still retains much of its original character—a beautiful curved oak staircase to the second floor, stained glass windows, hardwood floors, and a huge open kitchen.
The residence, which is now accepting applications, is undergoing renovations and upgrades to achieve the highest standards available to meet the needs of its student residents.
